The arts and craft movement was about people objecting to the industrial revolution and instead making and building things by hand. I believe that as a society we have become extremely dependant on computers and other devices the simplify the work for us. Using the Arts and Craft movement as an inspiration, for my manifesto, I created an ornament that was made by hand but in me eyes still shoes elegance and beauty. Everything was achieved by hand, and it makes this artifact more valuable to me because it was created by hand and had to struggle and find a way to make the roses really appear as roses. I believe that when one makes a project by hand and not using the machines for much, the project becomes more valuable.
